At the AGM at Draper's Farm on Wednesday January 30, chairman Alan Coker and the management committee's sound stewardship of Maldon Cricket Club was rightly applauded until Georgina Penketh pointed out that the only cricket club in East Essex with a women's team and a girls' Colts team, had not included them as an agenda item.
Alan and his committee were instrumental in opening up the club and he and Georgina are rightly proud that Elisa Copt, Isha Patel and Rosie Digweed represented the Essex U15s, and Sarah Harris and Izzy Collins were in the Essex U11 team.
