BILLY Coe cleaned up with the honours after producing a polished performance in Five Lakes Golf Club's Chamois Cup.
He saw off competition from nearly 50 golfers to win the men's 18-hole stableford event played off the white medal tees on the Lakes course.
Six-handicapper Coe enjoyed a better back nine holes to win, ahead of runner-up Andy Gilbert (18) on countback after both players scored 39 points.
A quartet of golfers came in with 37 points to finish inside the Competition Scratch Score of 73.
Eight-handicapper Charlie Powell finished third on countback ahead of Danny Owen (11), Adam Rutter (12) and Andy Lee (14).
Graeme Sinfield (25) returned a respectable 35 points, while Malcolm Pook won balls for a birdie two on the par three fourth hole.
With the course still playing all of its 6,700 yards, some golfers found the transformation from the shorter winter tees a challenge.
Five Lakes secured a very tight victory at Harwich and Dovercourt in the first round at the Essex Seniors Team Championship.
Malcolm Pook won by play-off on the second extra hole.
Five Lakes now host either Thorpe Bay or Maylands.
Five Lakes' Jubilee Cup team secured a 5.5-4.5 home victory against a very competitive PlayGolf Colchester team.
