Burnham Ramblers lost out to visiting AFC Sudbury.
They fell to a 4-1 defeat in their Ryman League division one north encounter on Tuesday night.
In a frantic start the ball was cleared off the goal-line at either end.
But on 13 minutes the visitors took the lead when James Baker headed home a Jack Cawley cross at the back post.
Fifteen minutes later, Sudbury went 2-0 up when a quick throw-in released Ollie Hughes who squared the ball to Steve Spriggs who tapped home.
On 33 minutes, Burnham keeper Louis Godwin-Green received a yellow card after racing out of his area and bringing down Ollie Hughes.
Baker made it 3-0 after the break when a deflected cross fell at his feet and he fired home on 52 minutes.
Ramblers pulled a goal back on 90 minutes when Neil Richmond scored from the penalty spot.
But Sudbury responded immediately when Ben Thompson burst through to make it 4-1 and wrap the match up.
