Maldon and Tiptree fell to their sixth defeat in a row.

The managerless Jammers lost 3-0 to Brightlingsea Regent in Ryman League division one north on Tuesday night.

Maldon went behind on ten minutes when Ben Newson was put through by Jake Gould and he fired home.

Brightlingsea doubled their advantage on 21 minutes when a long throw by Gould caught everyone by surprise and Russell Malton pounced to make it 2-0.

Malton made it 3-0 when he lobbed the keeper on 81 minutes.

Burnham Ramblers lost out 2-0 to visiting Brentwood Town.

Sam Bantick gave Brentwood the lead just after the break on 49 minutes.

The visitors wrapped up the match on 90 minutes when Shad Ngandu made it 2-0.

Heybridge Swifts came late to the party on Tuesday night as they were delayed by heavy traffic for their match at Needham Market.

But Keith Wilson’s side fought back to take a 2-1 victory.

A back-heeled goal from Sam Newson saw the home side take the lead on 30 minutes.

But in a two-minute spell just before the break Swifts took the lead.

Neil Richmond scored on 45 minutes and Billy Hunt added a second in the third minute of first-half injury-time.

Swifts were reduced to ten men on when Liam Springett was given a straight red card for a bad tackle.

But Heybridge held on for the win with keeper Danny Sambridge in great form.
