Maldon and Tiptree secured three points with a good 2-1 win over Redbridge.
Maldon opened the scoring early on Tuesday night in their Ryman One North when Danny Johnson fired the ball under keeper Dean Driscoll on nine minutes.
But the Jammers had to wait another 70 minutes to make the game safe when Kye Ruel made it 2-0.
Maldon finished the game with ten men when Spencer Harrison was sent off on 90 minutes for a second yellow card.
Redbridge then pulled a goal back from the penalty spot.
