A pre-school in Grays has maintained its 'Good' rating following an inspection from an education watchdog.

Ofsted inspected the Grays Baptist Pre-School on Hathaway Road on September 29 and their report was issued on Friday.

The pre-school, which looks after toddlers who have not reached Primary School age yet, was given a rating of 'Good' in all areas, which are: leadership, teaching quality, personal development, and outcome for the children.

In the report it says: "Young children settle well and make strpong attachments to staff. Staff are dedicated to the children in their care and provide them with emotional stability."

Vivian Elliott, 58, manager at the pre-school, said: "We are very pleased.

"We have made a lot of improvements here; I think the staff are working better as a team and they have become better at looking after the children.

"We will always strive for a Outstanding grade but we are more than happy with this."
