AN ESSEX man has been arrested for making a hoax bomb threat nearly 20 years ago.
The investigation started after a forensic review of evidence seized from the scene of a hoax bomb threat, made at a fast food restaurant, in Brompton Road, on November 10, 1999.
The threat was said to have been made by a far-right organisation.
The hoax call was made at a time of heightened tensions following a devastating series of nail bombs planted in London by neo-Nazi David Copeland in April, 1999.
The 36-year-old man was bailed until late April.
