TV and panto star Jeff Brazier will be joined by a host of singing talent for this year’s Grays Christmas light switch-on.

Jeff, who will play the Prince in Sleeping Beauty at the Thameside Theatre this year, will be joined by X Factor star Lucy Duffield, Britain’s Got Talent finalist Gabz and the Voice’s Hollie Barrie, who’ll also be performing during the switch-on.

There will also be children’s entertainers, Chafford Voices and the teenage opera singer Marilena Grant.

The festive fun is being organised by Grays Town Partnership, made up of Thurrock Council, South Essex College, Grays Shopping Centre, Thameside Theatre and market management company Hughmark Continental.

It will be the first in a series of events being designed to support Grays town centre and the community to kick start the regeneration of the town.

The High Street will be buzzing with activities and opportunities to enjoy treats and find the perfect presents for friends and family at the Christmas market.

In the Church Gardens, there will be music from Grays Convent, Thameside Primary and Hathaway Academy.

There will also be music from the Estuary Jazz Quartet and Grays Town Band.

The ever-popular Covent Garden Giant Bubbler will be outside Greggs and over at the Ensign Bus there will be arts and crafts with the Sleeping Beauty team.

In Grays Shopping Centre, there will be a chance to enrol your little ones in Santa’s Elf Service. Simply visit each Elf Station and collect your uniform to be in with the chance of winning a prize for the cheekiest and cutest snapshot with Santa.

The switch-on takes place next Thursday, November 19, from 2pm.
