ARMED police have been at a Grays industrial estate all day as officers carried out a search warrant on suspicion of drugs-related offences.
The warrant was one of two being executed today by Essex Police and Suffolk Police as part of a joint operation.
The police helicopter and armed officers were sent to the Globe Industrial Estate in Towers Road, Grays, this morning where officers stormed an industrial building.
A police spokesperson said: "Essex Police officers are today executing two search warrants at industrial premises.
"One in London Road, Copford and the other in Towers Road, Grays in connection with suspected drug offences.
"The warrants have been executed as part of a joint operation with Suffolk Police.
"Specialist fire arms officers were deployed as part of the operation."
An industrial unit off London Road, Copford, was also raided by armed police.
