Man taken to hospital following disturbance
A man has been detained under the Mental Health Act after police were call to an address in Hatfield Peverel.
Police received several reports from residents about a man shouting and smashing windows at a property in The Street this morning.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We received reports of a disturbance in The Street, Hatfield Peverel, at around 8.55am today, Thursday, April 26.
"We received a number of calls that a man was smashing windows at an address and shouting.
"We attended and the man, aged in his 30s, was detained under the Mental Health Act and he has been taken to hospital for treatment."
