NURSERY staff have been nominated for an award which recognises their commitment to childcare.

Staff at Busy Bees nursery in Galleys Corner, Braintree, are up for the Busy Bees company award of Innovative Environment of the Year.

The team will attend the prestigious awards dinner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Stratford-Upon-Avon tomorrow.

Nursery manager Lisa Webb said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for this award.

"At nursery we are committed to providing children with the best possible start in life. I am really looking forward to the awards night and, whatever the outcome, it promises to be a great evening alongside many other dedicated and talented individuals.”

Busy Bees Childcare is hosting the national awards evening to acknowledge and reward its most dedicated staff and recognise some of the organisation’s most enthusiastic staff members Managing director, Marg Randles, who will present the Recognition of Long Service Award on the evening, said: “We have so many dedicated and passionate people at Busy Bees, who are committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for young children.

"Childcare is more than a career, it’s a vocation and a passion that’s built within and we’re lucky enough to work with so many talented and driven individuals who make a difference every day to the lives of the children in our care."

The evening is due to be attended by more than 400 Busy Bees staff from across the country.

All finalists have been invited to attend the evening dinner and each of this year’s winners will receive an award and a prize from the award sponsor, ranging from vouchers for the individual winners, to equipment and teaching materials for the nursery winners.
