British National Party members staged a roadside protest against proposals for hundreds of homes in Heybridge.

Members of the right-wing party, including parish councillor Richard Perry, took part in the Sunday demonstration against plans for 900 homes.

Police were also in attendance.

Proposals for 3,500 new homes across the district, to be built between 2014 and 2029, have caused concern for many residents.
