Dolls houses of all different styles are on display as part of a special exhibition.

Burnham Museum in Coronation Road is hosting the exhibition until June 10.

A museum spokesman said: “This exhibition has been very fully supported by local people and we have a wonderful selection of dolls houses in all different styles and appearances.

“There are superb examples of furniture and decoration for the houses, many items which have been lovingly made by highly skilled local enthusiasts.”

The dolls on display date back to the 1860s, right through to present day.

Among the exhibits, one doll is dressed as a Girl Guide from 1912 when the movement was started by Lady Baden-Powell.

While another shows the early attempts by the American market to copy British dolls.

In all, there are well over 100 items to be viewed at the exhibition.

The museum is open from 2pm-5pm every day of the week during school holidays, and only Wednesday, Saturday and Sun during school time.
