To mark the 20th anniversary of the National Lottery we asked shoppers on Maldon High Street what they would do with £1million.
Stuart Drake, 43, an electrician, of Banham, Norfolk said: “If I had £100million I would invest in Formula One, they are in a mess at the moment and I would want to help them.
“£1million would be a nightmare, I’d give some to family, buy a nice house and a car and kick back and relax.”
Stephen Brown, 57, of Washington Road, Maldon said: “I don’t do the lottery, but I collect records, so I would indulge my passion for vinyl.
“I have been collecting for 45 years and £1million would be quite nice for the vinyl I can’t afford at the moment.”
Geoffrey Shalless, 70, of The Causeway, Heybridge, said: “I think I’d ask for a spaceship because I don’t believe in it.
“The operator name gives it away, Camelot didn’t exist.”
