A local business manager has reopened his shop after a massive refurbishment and hopes it will help the thriving high street.

Simon Warren, branch manager at Bairstow Eves, Station Road, Burnham, had footballers Dominic Vose and Craig Eastmond from Colchester FC and mayor Ron Pratt, on hand to open the shop last Thursday.

He said: “We have been here for 18 years and we have had a much needed facelift.

“It has been nice, every single day since we have been open, someone has come in to say how fantastic it looks.

“I was really, really pleased, as a local guy, it was lovely to see all these people turn up.”

Well done, it's nice to see that a small local company like Bairstow Eves is given free publicity for painting their shop. I mean, it's not like they're a national chain or something innit!
