A new development comprising of offices, an education centre and warehousing could create 40 jobs in Maldon if given the go ahead.
Developer Court Langley Ltd has applied to Maldon District Council to develop a 0.62 hectare site at Quayside Park, Maldon, next to Heybridge House Industrial Estate in Bates Road.
In a planning support statement, it is noted: “Development of a new building will increase the value of the site and create jobs during the construction phase of the development.”
“Additionally it will house three uses in office, storage and training.
“It is anticipated that the office use will provide 25 jobs, the storage use will provide 11 jobs, and the educational training use will provide four jobs, resulting in a total of 40 being created.
“The training element of the proposal will provide courses to equip participants with practical skills to enter the job market."
