Police scoured South Woodham Ferrers yesterday in the hunt for a missing person.
The police helicopter and a specialist search team searched the town and surrounding areas following concerns for the welfare of a 30-year-old woman who was reported missing from her home in South Woodham Ferrers at about 3.40pm.
The woman was eventually found in Wickford at about 6.15pm.
She was injured and was taken by ambulance to Basildon Hospital.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "The cause of her injuries were not thought to be suspicious."
