Pedestrianising part of Maldon's high street will attract more shoppers, say a group of school children.
The four teenagers at Plume School, Maldon, chose to work on a project that would help the community as part of their citizenship course.
The Year 11 team, who began the project last year, have focused on pedestrianising the top and bottom of the High Street to avoid traffic chaos if cars were banned from the whole stretch.
The pupils also looked at costings and how traffic would be re-routed.
