A couple celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary have been congratulated by the Queen.
Roy Sewell, 79, and his wife Mavis, 80, of Hamble Way, Burnham were married at East Ham Registry Office on March 6 1954 and have been married for 60 years.
They met aged 15 and now have three children, Kenneth, 59, Diane, 54 and Karen, 49, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, with another on the way.
Mr Sewell said: “I’m very lucky, I’ve had a very happy marriage and I’ve got a beautiful wife.”
