Toploader have been confirmed as the headline act for a festival raising money for a brain-injured teenager.

The band, are most well known for their cover of Dancing in the Moonlight, will perform at SamStock 2014 in June.

Vince Freeman, who was on the first series of BBC show The Voice, and Scarlett’s Roses, who have supported Jessie J, Lawson and Stooshe, have also been confirmed.

SamStock is the idea of Teresa Mecoy, of Mundon Road, Maldon, to help raise £14,000 for a communication aid for her son, Sam Richards.

He was injured in a playground accident in 2012 and is currently making good progress at a respite centre.
