Flowers may be starting to bloom but Burnham will not be winning prizes for them this year.

Despite previously winning silver in 2009, 2010 and 2012, Burnham will not be entering the Anglia in Bloom competition for the second year in a row.

Burnham Town Council has decided that although the annual Burnham in Bloom event will be going ahead in July, the town will not be entering the regional competition.

David McNeill, Town Clerk, said: “I think it’s a question of never say never but we feel we have achieved as much as possible at this time."
