A former sub-postmistress is creating at least 15 new jobs by opening a new indoor play centre.

Mum-of-four Theresa Wheeler and husband Paul are opening Dizzy Rascals on Monday on the Wycke Hill Business Park, Maldon.

Mrs Wheeler, who used to run the post office in Washington Road, Maldon, has so far created 10 positions and is looking to recruit at least another five members of staff.

The couple’s new venture has taken over the former premises of the Maldon Print Company.

Mrs Wheeler, a former Maldon resident, said: “It’s very exciting.

“We have been trying to do it for five years, but it was very difficult to find the right premises and then to get the council to agree to the change of use."
