This summer, Writtle will be hosting a Jazz and Blues Festival on and around the village green.
Musicians and bands will be playing at various venues including the Bridge Street Lounge and Grill, Fulton’s Writtle, the Rose and Crown, the Wheatsheaf, the Village Hall and a Marquee on the green.
Zak Barrett, a local saxophonist, will be bringing together local, national and international Jazz and Blues musicians.
The Village Hall will play host to a “Jazz Jam”, which will let amateur musicians play with an experienced band.
Musicians on the day also include Reginald "Reg" William Webb, a British jazz pianist and vocalist who previously toured with Lenny Kravitz, Harry Funl and Jordan Marsh, a foot stomping piano player, singer and song writer.
Taking place on Sunday July 31, tickets are £15 and £10 for concessions when bought in advance from the Civic Theatre in Chelmsford
