HUNDREDS of shoppers queued at stores across Colchester today hoping to get their hands on the best Black Friday deals.
The American shopping tradition, a sales event held every year the day after thanksgiving, was brought over to the UK four years ago and has become increasingly popular.
There were long queues outside Colchester’s Tesco and Asda stores.

In other parts of the UK, police were called to deal with fights and chaos and people rushed to get the best deals.
