AN open-air classic of a world-famous show will be presented in Colchester.
Castle Park Theatre is returning to Colchester with Shakespeare’s comedic masterpiece A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
A group of professional creatives based in and around Colchester will be joined by young talent from the Theatricool Performing Arts School.
The performance is set to have a magical touch with fairy lights and fairies to set the scene.
Neil Jones, artistic director of Castle Park Theatre, said: "We've had a lot of fun putting this show together and we've pulled in quite a few favours to make it happen, including local magician supremo Dean Allen Jones, and former Hollywood film composer Jason Frederick, who has done the music for us.
“He's the guy who does the horror nights at the Colchester Arts Centre, so you can expect it to be suitably eerie."
Performances continue until July 22.
Gates open for the showings at Castle Park at 6pm and there will be a bar serving drinks and light snacks.
The show starts at 7pm.
Tickets cost £16 and £14 for concessions.
