A BEAUTY business owner is celebrating after being shortlisted for two prestigious industry awards.

Rachel Rose Cosmetic Tattoo, in South Woodham Ferrers, has been shortlisted in the UK Hair and Beauty Awards in the ‘Best for Brows semi permanent make-up’ and ‘semi permanent make-up artist of the year’ categories.

The competition aims to support both large and small businesses.

It gives businesses the opportunity to compete locally before heading to the national grand final red carpet event.

The business specialises in semi-permanent ombre brows, eyeliner, lip blush, full lip colour, lip filler, vitamin B12 shots and anti-wrinkle injections.

Business owner and semi-permanent make-up artist Rachel Lovel is proud of the achievement.

She said: “I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. To be shortlisted for the finals is incredible to me.

“I’m always my own worst critic and will pick at anything I can to improve and give 110 per cent.

“To put my work forward for someone else to judge is scary but I finally felt happy my work was ready and I’m just so proud to have got this far.

“I’m really looking forward to the awards ceremony, fingers crossed.”

The business is based in Chipping Row in South Woodham Ferrers.
