A PUB has launched a new menu after its success with some "vegan take overs".
With more vegan establishments opening in Maldon High Street, such as Gnome Cafe and Verdeli, businesses in the town are recognising the demand for vegan options.
Now, the Black Rabbit pub has launched its own vegan menu after pub owner Anna Gladwell says she found vegans were "missing out on delicious, fun, junk food" options in the high street.
She added: "Demand has grown for vegan food and we initially ran a few vegan take overs with street food vendors which were very successful so much so that we have decided to permanently introduce our vegan menu."
The Veg Out at Black Rabbit menu offers a selection of burgers, pizzas and loaded fries to its pub-goers which range from £7.95 to £10.75.
The sides, including mac and cheese, range from £3 to £6.

They can also enjoy a more on the go option with the £2.75 vegan sausage roll from the bar.
The new high street cocktail bar Ginny’s, located at 70B High Street, has also joined in making their menu more accessible with vegan options available for most of their cocktails.
A spokesman said: "We're committed to making our menu as inclusive as we can to suit all dietary and lifestyles choices.

"We're proud to offer a range of drinks which can be made vegan or alcohol free."
One of the bar's most popular cocktails is its Espresso Martini, which can be made using Disaranno as a substitute for Kahlua and the Pina Coladas can be made vegan using Coco Lopez coconut milk and Havana Rum.
Another popular cocktail is the already vegan Vanilla Pear Drop with house vodka distilled in Essex, fresh lemon juice, pear syrup and homemade vanilla sugar.
