A PHOTOGRAPHER is appealing for help to see if a copper model of a heron he snapped more than 10 years ago is still in Maldon's Promenade Park.
Dave Clarke, a photographer from Kelvedon, was walking along Maldon promenade last Tuesday.
After passing the lake he remembered a special photo he took there of a copper model of a heron amongst some reeds.
Dave said: "Despite my best efforts, the reeds were so tall, I couldn't see if it was still there.
"One of our friends who has lived in Wantz Road in Maldon for many years said she had never seen it.
"As an amateur photographer, I keep all my pictures, and was surprised I took [a photo of] it in April in 2010."
Dave is hoping to confirm if the heron is still there - and how many people actually know it exists.
If you know the history of the Promenade Park heron send us your news.
