Plume Academy has won £3,000 worth of vouchers after entering a competition.

Catering and Hospitality Manager Paula Flight secured the first prize of £3,000 worth of Davies Sports vouchers to spend on sports equipment.

The competition was run by soft drink brand Aquajuice Juicy Water.

They select 12 winners at random to win up to £10,000 worth of vouchers.

Head of PE Jimmy Ainscough said: “The news was brilliantly received by both the PE department and students.

“Our primary focus is to improve the equipment for badminton and table tennis and we are looking to introducing archery into PE lessons.

“This will be the first time the school has offered archery and will be a fantastic opportunity for the students to try a sport that they’ve never done before.”

Calypso brand manager Beccy Ireland said: “We launched this competition to help schools to deliver their physical education programmes with the chance to win a range of schools equipment of their choice.

“We hope the staff and children at Plume Academy enjoy their new sports equipment.”
