A NEW bra boutique supporting women who have fought breast cancer has opened its doors.

The Bra Consultancy was set up by Southminster businesswoman Julie Blanche two years ago.

The business offers a tailored, personal bra fitting service to women across Essex, Suffolk and London, including those who have fought breast cancer, undergone mastectomies and had cosmetic surgery.

On Saturday she launched a boutique at the White Elm Garden Centre in Bicknacre, near Danbury.

Customers sipped bubbly and shopped in the new store with the grand opening hailed a success.

Julie said: “Our opening day was a great success and I’d like to thank all our customers who visited, celebrated with us, shopped and worked with our fully trained bra fitters on the day to ensure they went home with bras that were perfect for them.

“It’s been a busy few weeks but it was worth it. The shop looks amazing, it offers a comfortable and secure place for women to come and have a bespoke bra fitting and choose from wonderful underwear that will not only support them, but make them feel great too.

“We also had a great response to our raffle for breast cancer awareness month and raised £78 for the charity.”

The Bra Consultancy boutique is open from 9.30am until 4.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and will be open 10am to 4pm every Sunday in the run up to Christmas.

The boutique will be staffed by three fully trained bra fitters.
