A BURNHAM RNLI ceremony was interrupted by an emergency call out for the second time in a matter of weeks.
After the lifeboat station’s Somme commemorations featured an emergency call out, so too did their latest boat blessing service.
RNLI volunteers launched the Atlantic 85 lifeboat in response to an alert from the Coastguard at 6pm on Bank Holiday Sunday.
The vessel was a 13m motor boat which had run aground and anchored near to Maplin Bell.
Following a four hour tow back to Burnham Yacht Harbour, the boat was safely returned and no casualties were reported.
