A TILLINGHAM girl is continuing her huge fundraising campaign with at this weekend’s Southend Carnival.

Ellalouise Middleton, 17, suffers from Dystonia, a neurological illness that affects the brain, attacking nerves and muscles in the body.

It causes painful and uncontrollable muscle spasms due to incorrect signals from the brain.

The illness is estimated to affect at least 70,000 people in the UK.

This weekend will see a team of six people attempt to help Ellalouise hit her £20,000 fundraising target for the Dystonia Society.

Over the past two years Ellalouise has raised more than £12,000 for charity.

Now her team of six will be pulling a fire engine at the front of the parade Saturday evening in an attempt to get even closer to the target.
