MUSICIAN and entrepreneur Levi Roots paid a visit to Cold Norton today to talk to the people of Maldon District about identity and branding.

The British-Jamaican’s Reggae Reggae jerk BBQ sauce found success after securing a £50,000 investment on BBC Two’s Dragon’s Den in 2007.

He performed reggae songs on his guitar and gave an impassioned speech about the importance of individual identity when running a business.

Levi’s speech was part of the Maldon District Showcase 2016, which featured stalls and representatives from district based businesses and the launch of ‘Sense of Place’ project aiming to create a ‘story’ for Maldon.
