HARRY Potter, Fantastic Mr Fox and Mary Poppins all made an appearance as pupils dressed up to mark World Book Day.
Staff and pupils at Maldon Court Preparatory School dressed up as their favourite children’s book characters for the annual event.
The school has been holding week long activities centred around reading, writing and sharing stores with each other.
Other characters who made an appearance on Monday included Lord of the Rings’ Gandalf, Cruella de Vil from Disney’s 101 Dalmatians and Willy Wonka from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
World Book Day takes place on Thursday and will see children up and down the country share their love of reading.
