BLACKWATER Leisure Centre will be officially reopened on Monday.
Maldon District Council has invested approximately £1.5million to enable extensive refurbishment and improvements to the centre in Park Drive, Maldon.
These include:
• Refurbishment of the swimming pool, new changing rooms & toilets
• New flume ride, new sauna, new steam room
• New café
• New larger fitness suite
• New dance & fitness suite
The centre will be reopened by Peter Elliott, Chairman of Maldon District Council, and Ron Pratt, the Chairman of the District Council’s Community Services Committee.
Mr Pratt said: “The council is pleased to be officially re-opening the Blackwater Leisure Centre.
“The newly refurbished facilities have been completed to a high standard and the Centre looks refreshed and improved.
“The facilities are for everyone to use, and I am sure that the Council’s new partner, Places
“For People Leisure Management Limited, will encourage our local community to follow active and healthy lifestyles.”
