A one stop shop for veterans in the form of a web portal has been unveiled.
The Veterans Information Portal Tree (VIP Tree) is designed to support the independence of the Armed Forces Veterans, led by the Essex Civilian Military Partnership Board.
The Royal British Legion Essex county chairman, Melvin Swann, said: “The Veterans Portal will help local armed forces veterans to identify services that are available to them and will help local partners to identify where best to target their support to former service people.”
Maldon District Council will be raising the profile of the VIP Tree at the Armed Forces Day event, taking place at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, Hackmans Lane, Purleigh on Saturday.
