An infuriated Burnham farmer is appealing for public’s help to track down an arsonist who torched 450 tonnes of straw.
It is the third time that arable and livestock farmer Edward Hull has had baled-straw stacks set alight.
In the latest attack, arsonists targeted a stack of 700 bales of straw, off Marsh Road in Burnham, worth about £18,000 last weekend.
Mr Hull said: “It’s very infuriating.
“The stack had been there all through winter.
“It was going to be used for bedding next winter."
Burnham fire station sub officer Wayne Davey said: “These straw fires can be extremely dangerous."
