Rowers are training in Burnham before rowing the Atlantic to help beat cystic fibrosis.
A 24 hour training row in the River Crouch is taking place on Saturday in preparation for their 3,000 mile journey next December.
Adventurer Angus Collins, 25, of Lilian Road, Burnham, will row from the Canary Islands to Antigua in the Talisker Atlantic Rowing Challenge, with team Joe Barnett, 24, of Chelmsford, Jack Mayhew, 25, of Cambridge and Gus Barton, 24, of Diss, Norfolk.
Angus said: “We are going to try and raise £100,000."
The team, ‘Ocean Reunion’, are aiming to beat 39 days, but could take double.
