If you are after a unique way to show off your pampered pooch, beloved bunny or crazy cat, a Maldon mum has the answer.
Jacqui Davis, of Falcon Mews, Maldon, has a passion for painting and has started her own business hand painting hessian bags with pictures of pets so she could spend more time with her four-year-old daughter, Ruby.
Ruby's Boutique, which Mrs Davis set up and runs from home, specialises in the personalised bags and business is booming after several celebrities including Cheryl Furgison from Eastenders and singer Chesney Hawkes, ordered the bags after seeing them on Twitter.
Some may still think she is barking up the wrong tree but the mum has now been nominated for several national Mumpreneur Awards.
Mrs Davis, 39, said: "It's very special just to be nominated, I'm over the moon."
