Holistic therapies, spiritual readings and native American drumming will be among the activities at a spiritual awareness event this weekend.

Mill Beach pub in Goldhanger Road, Heybridge, is hosting the weekend on Saturday from 10am to 11pm and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.

There will be 11 workshops, hypnotherapy, stalls and talks.

Fifteen bands will play throughout the weekend, including headliner Spriggan Mist, from Berkshire.

There is a hog roast on Saturday evening and vegetarian options.

All money raised will go to Clarks Farm Greyhounds in Little Totham and the Stroke Association.

The only thing that's rubbish is having a hog roast.

I pity those who don't believe in anything beyond science; you have absolutely no idea what you are missing and I speak from personal experience many times over....But it's your loss and others gain.

And I pity you for needing to believe in anything beyond science, so swings and roundabouts I guess.
