Drugs charity the Angelus Foundation said it was ‘delighted’ to collaborate with Brownstock to educate schoolchildren about the risks associated with legal highs.
The foundation will give talks at The Plume and William de Ferrers schools to educate students of potential dangers of the drugs in the run up to the festival.
Maryon Stewart, founder of Angelus, said: “We are determined to get the message across that their legal status does not make them safe.”
After the accidental death of festival-goer Jonathan Graham last year, which coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray said was caused by the ‘insidious mischief’ of legal highs, Brownstock organisers vowed to ensure people knew the risks associated with the substances.
