A burst water main is causing delays in Maldon.
The burst main, a 150mm water main on Wycke Hill road, prior to Limebrook Way, is said to be causing delays back towards the Burnham Road roundabout.
An Essex and Suffolk Water spokesman said: "Essex and Suffolk Water responded quickly to reports of the burst this morning and were on-site by 8am working fast to stop the water.
"The burst is situated on the grass verge and at present there are no traffic restrictions in place.
"Work is currently underway to repair the burst and is likely to go on until this afternoon.
"Essex & Suffolk Water would like to thank our customers and motorists for being patience whilst we carry out this repair work."
Temporary traffic lights are now in use and traffic is believed to be coping well.
