Detectives are wrapping up their investigation into offences committed by a respected primary school teacher and charity fundraiser, who was exposed as a paedophile after his death.
Former Burnham Primary School teacher Christopher Dobson died in December 2012 aged 70.
Indecent images involving children were found at his home in the town’s Chapel Road by prospective buyers.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have spoken to a number of people with whom he had contact with as a tutor and have concluded that there was nobody else involved with him in committing these offences and no further police action is currently anticipated.”
A report will now be given to partner agencies including the Essex Children’s Safeguarding Board, Safeguarding and Child Protection Services and the Department for Education and Lifelong Learning.
