A pub landlord has devised a Top Gear-style challenge to raise money for Farleigh Hospice.
Dave Smith, 36, of The Three Horseshoes, Althorne, is attempting to drive to Land’s End on May 10-11 in a car that costs less than £600.
Five teams of two are competing against each other to complete challenges on the way and are aiming to raise £2,000 for Farleigh Hospice.
Mr Smith said: “We have had a few well loved regulars over the years who have passed away from cancer and the Farleigh Hospice has always been there to help them and their families.
“We are going to try and make it an annual event and chose a different charity each year.”
