Organisers of a Stow Maries festival are taking action after two men died last year.

Jonathan Graham, 33, from Great Baddow, accidentally died after he consumed 5-EAPB, also known as Benzo Fury, at the Brownstock Festival on August 31 last year.

At the time of his death, Benzo Fury was a legal high, but is now under a temporary control order.

Police are still investigating the death of a second festivalgoer, Paul Wickerson, 32, who was struck by a car while walking along Lower Burnham Road, Cold Norton, after he left the festival.

This year, festival organisers have teamed up with nationwide charity Angelus Foundation, to promote the knowledge and understanding of the risks of taking legal highs.
