Armed police arrested a 43-year-old man in Ship Road

Police have now made two arrests after a 37-year-old man was slashed across the face.

The men were arrested on suspicion of assault after a London man was injured on March 8 in New Moor Close, Southminster.

Armed police with police dogs arrested a 43-year-old man, of no fixed address, on March 9 in Ship Road, Burnham and a 51-year-old Maldon man was arrested in Maldon on March 11.

Both men have been released on police bail until May 12.
