The police helicopter swooped over Maldon to arrest three men in connection with criminal damage in Southminster.
Police officers were called to an industrial unit in Hall Road, Southminster, at about 1.40am on Monday, following reports that a number of men were causing criminal damage to a car and a building within the industrial complex.
The force’s ground units and the helicopter carried out a search after vehicles were seen leaving the area.
Three men were later arrested after several vehicles were stopped in the Maldon area.
A 25-year-old man from Maldon was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and possessing cannabis and a 24-year-old man from Maldon was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and going equipped.
A 24-year-old man from Grays was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
All three men remain in custody while police enquiries continue.
