A landowner is warning dog owners to keep their pets on leads after his sheep was attacked.
Father-of-two Bryn Chittenden was working in his 20-acre piece of field at Scarletts, St Lawrence, at about 2pm on Monday, when he claimed a dog viciously attacked a grazing ewe.
At the time, Mr Chittenden, who owns five terriers himself, noticed that his horses had been spooked.
He said: “They came rushing past me and I thought ‘what the hell is going on?’ “Then I saw the dog was hanging off the sheep’s back leg.
“I didn’t dare grab the dog in case it bit me."
