MALDON’S secondary school has been given top marks in its latest Ofsted inspection.
Plume School was rated good overall and in each of the categories inspected: pupil achievement, teaching quality, pupil behaviour and safety and leadership and management.
The report said English results are above the national average and maths and the number of pupils gaining five or more A* to C grades at GCSE is in line with the national average.
Achievement at sixth form and by pupils with disabilities or special educational needs was also good and teaching was “usually good, with some that is outstanding.”
