A puppy found abandoned on a roadside has only days left to be reunited with her owner.

The white and tan Staffordshire bull terrier was handed into Farcroft Kennels and Cattery in Burnham Road, Latchingdon, just before 2pm on Friday.

Kennels owner Karen Carr said a couple found her the previous evening on the main road in Althorne. "The dog warden has been told about her and no-one's rung to say they lost her," said.

"We were told that we have got to keep hold of her for seven days and if no owner comes forward, we can rehome her."

The owner should call 01621 741937.
